DescriptionThe rules have been designated as either administrative rules or conduct rules. Typically, administrative rules are those dealing with preparation for the competition. The conduct rules are those that have to do directly with the competition. Rules may not be altered, unless flexibility is indicated in a specific rule. NCAA member institutions are required to conduct their intercollegiate contests according to these rules. The administrative rules indicated in this book are listed below. All other rules deal with the conduct of track and field competition.
